Boucetta's hunt for prime spots is in full-throttle, targeting various locales from the Westside to Long Beach, and landing, ideally, initially, in the Downey area, but that's hinged on what the real estate market dishes out.

Boucetta and his team are eyeing diverse setups, from a standout corner lot to a half-acre plot for a double drive-thru to stations within shopping malls, according to the WNLA interview. With chicken heavy-hitters like Popeye’s and KFC and relative newbies Raising Canes and Chick-fil-a already pecking around the L.A. scene, Boucetta believes Bojangles' distinct flavor profile will fill a void, "Our product is great compared to the competitors, there’s a flavor profile that Bojangles has which L.A. is missing," he professed. Touting the perk of being the one-and-only franchisor in the mix, Boucetta anticipates forging a brand culture and aesthetic exclusive to the City of Angels.

Bojangles' CEO Jose Armario chimed in on the franchising camaraderie front, insisting that backing their franchisees is crucial, "Supporting our franchisees is a fundamental pillar of success and growth at Bojangles," he boasted in the WNLA piece. Armario praised Boucetta's blend of business chops, hospitality know-how, and property development savvy as the foundation for a solid Bojangles' beachhead in California.

The ambition doesn't stop with the initial 30 eateries; Boucetta's got his sights on expanding to over a hundred, unveiling a grand L.A. vision, "We hope to scale to 100+ units one day – that’s the vision for L.A.," he revealed, stirring the pot for more franchise inquiries all over California; this synergy underscores Bojangles' position as one of the peppy peckers in the quick-service chicken coop with over 800 hangouts nationwide.
