According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department’s Century Station, deputies arrived at a house in the 4800 block of East Olanda Street around 3:45 p.m. after receiving reports of a domestic situation. Gunfire was then supposedly heard, with officials later confirming the shots in a social media post, as reported by KTLA.
During the tense standoff that ensued, the residence became engulfed in flames. The Los Angeles County Fire Department was forced to stand by, only moving to aggressively tackle the blaze after the armed individual was apprehended. By 5:03 P.M., as the Fire Department's official social media account noted on X, firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire.
