According to the White Settlement Police Department, the vehicle, which had been reported stolen, tripped an alert on the city's Flock Safety System as it cruised down the S. Las Vegas Trail.

The driver was taken into custody without incident, in a coordinated effort by White Settlement Police personnel. Engaged in the recovery operation were Corporal Russell, Officer Ramirez, and Officer Wyly. Providing communication support during the apprehension, Dispatcher Kelly Dennis was manning the console for WEST COMM, handling the radio traffic and confirmation of the vehicle's stolen status.
