A domestic squabble turned nearly fatal when a husband and wife on San Antonio's West Side were hospitalized after struggling over a firearm, authorities said earlier today. The altercation occurred just before the witching hour on the 300 block of Tesla, resulting in both parties sustaining gunshot wounds.

During what the police described as a "disagreement", the husband allegedly brandished a gun which led to a struggle with his wife, the tussle culminating in multiple shots fired within the confines of their home, "there was some sort of disagreement before the man pulled a gun on his wife" authorities stated, according to KENS 5. She attempted to escape his grasp, and somewhere amid the confrontation several shots were discharged, police said.

The aftermath of the incident saw the woman shot in her arm and foot, while the man suffered wounds to his foot and leg, as reported by FOX San Antonio. Following the incident, both individuals were transported to the hospital and are expected to make a recovery.
