Yes, today is technically the last day of summer. But as we all know, in San Francisco, summer is just starting to heat up, in theory. And that means it's the perfect time of year for events like this: the first-ever Movie Night in Duboce Park.

Saturday night, from 7:30 - 9:30pm, head on over to D.P. for "The Pursuit of Happyness," the uplifting 2006 Will Smith flick about a homeless guy who picks himself up by his bootstraps and whatnot. Of course, much of the film was shot in San Francisco. In fact, you may recall some scenes being filmed right here in Duboce Park. Like, remember the fake BART station?

Before the main attraction starts, watch short films made by children in the Harvey Milk Recreation Center Arts Program. The probably-adorable opening act runs from 7-7:30pm. As of this writing, the forecast is calling for 76 degrees and sunny on Saturday, so grab a blanket and a bottle of your favorite wine non-alcoholic beverage, and we'll see you there.
