Breaking: Arrest Made in Lower Haight Burning Car Case
San Francisco police have made an arrest in the case of the gray Pontiac that was set ablaze on Rose Street early yesterday morning, with a woman's body inside.

Police Officer Eric Chiang tells Haighteration that Almon Johnson of Sacramento, who was born in 1981, has been arrested in San Francisco for suspicion of murder. Police believe Johnson murdered the victim, Vanessa Herrera, (who is described as being in her 20s), in Sacramento, then drove her body to San Francisco and set the car ablaze early yesterday morning. Though Johnson has family ties to San Francisco, police cannot yet say what prompted Johnson to leave the car where he did, nor whether there is any connection between this crime and others in the area. They also would not comment on any possible motive at this time. We'll update with any additional details.
