Tonight: Free Movie Night in Duboce ParkFlickr/Daniel2005
Want to hear our Sean Connery impression? Of course you don't. Instead, go see "The Rock" tonight, for free, in Duboce Park!

Here's the plot synopsis, provided by Friends of Duboce Park:
A renegade general (Ed Harris) and his group of U.S. Marines take over Alcatraz and threaten San Francisco Bay with biological weapons. A chemical weapons specialist (Nicolas Cage) and the only man (Sean Connery) to have ever escaped from the Rock attempt to prevent chaos. The film was filmed in 1996 on Alcatraz and in San Francisco and includes a car chase scene that rivals the chase in “Bullitt.”
Tonight's flick starts at nightfall, around 8:15pm, and will be preceded by some shorts filmed at the Harvey Milk Rec Center. Popcorn and other refreshments will be available for purchase. You'll probably want to leave the kiddies at home -- this one's rated R for strong violence and language. But they can look forward to the next movie night, "The Incredibles," some time this fall.
