What to you get when you cross Fillmore Street boutique Revolver with an art gallery with a submarine? You get the Voyager Shop, a new retail experience officially opening tomorrow night at 365 Valencia Street.
Voyager is a collaboration between Revolver, the Mollusk Surf Shop, Rosenthal Art Gallery, and Patchwork Industries (the brainchild of Rosenthal's owner), and will feature "art, a bookstore, men's and women's fashion, nautical treasures and more." A recent look inside the shop on 7x7.com reveals a pretty wondrous space that owner Robert Patterson describes as "kind of like an island... You come through the doors, and there’s a video playing, welcoming you to Voyager. And then you get to experience the island." Indeed! Tomorrow night, the shop will hold an opening reception starting at 6pm, featuring new art from Justin Amrhein. That's the Voyager Shop, 365 Valencia Street (between 14th and 15th). Hours are 11am to 7pm.
