Donations Needed for Hayes Valley Sculpturelooking up into future's past/black rock arts foundation
Green: Patricia has it, the Hayes Valley Arts Coalition needs it, and you're about to see a lot more of it.

Patricia's Green is about to get a whole lot greener after Future's Past has been installed. We know you've been hearing that for awhile, so why the delay? The two groups helping bring Kate Raudenbush's sculpture to Hayes Valley, the Black Rock Arts Foundation and Hayes Valley Arts Coalition (HVAC), need to raise more money to cover both the installation and electricity that powers the steel-based piece of art. You can help out by making a donation to the Black Rock Arts Foundation's Civic Arts Program that will be used to help fund this project.
If you haven't heard about the sculpture yet, it's going to have a different feel from the Ecstasy statue you might be used to. According to the HVAC website, "Future's Past is a sculptural modern ruin, an architectural artifact found in the future... The laser-cut welded steel sculpture reaches 24 feed in height and weighs 7,000 pounds. The pyramid welcomes explores inside at the ground level but is not climbable." What do you think about our neighborhood's new centerpiece?
