Happy High Herbs Grand Opening
The brand new herb shop at Haight & Masonic is open for business, and you're invited to take a trip (sorry) to check them out tonight.

Contrary to what the storefront's paint job might conjure, Happy High Herbs is not your everyday head shop. Their website promises to "promote herbs that bring happiness, bring wellness, increase horniness and bring contentment," and they say their products "are marketed only in our physical shops, in a face to face situation, as alternatives to drugs of harm and addiction." That said, you still have to be 18 to buy them. The company was founded in Australia by Ray Thorpe to offer safer alternatives to typical party drugs. The Haight Street shop is their fifth shop stateside, and their fourth in California. The Berkeley shop has mostly positive reviews on Yelp. To kick things off right, they're having a grand opening jam tonight from 6-8PM, and DJ Lotus Drops will be there to ensure plenty of dub-step. They also promise herbal brew for everyone who attends.
