Lower Haight Leftovers: 3/23 Edition
Bay to Breakers, Big Brother, and brunch: here are just a few quick items that didn't quite make it to the front page this week.

Aline's Closet (101 Pierce) wants to start a community garden in front of their shop to replace the trees which were cut down in November. On Sunday, they'll be hosting a Spring Fashion Brunch from noon to 4pm. Stop by to enjoy some pastries, tea, coffee and mimosas, get 15% off everything in the shop, and donate a potted outdoor plant for the garden.
The 101st Bay to Breakers is coming. Want to volunteer? The event is looking for neighborhood ambassadors to "welcome participants to their neighborhood, and give instruction on the location of restrooms, trash receptacles, EMS services, general event information, and provide the event hotline number to neighbors and participants." For more info or to sign up, click here.
A new San Francisco based publication called Decades is trying to get off the ground, and it's seeking your support. The mag is being created by a group of writers and artists (some of which are Lower Haighters) and will "focus on food, fashion, gore, and intellectualism." (Gore?) If you'd like to contribute, you can do so here.
This isn't especially Lower Haight-related, but think you've got what it takes to be a cast member on Big Brother? There's an open casting call coming up in San Francisco. It'll be at Sugar Cafe (679 Sutter) on April 7th.
Apparently the N Judah will be "operating normally" again this weekend, due to expected rain.
Mark your calendars: the next Lower Haight Art Walk is just two weeks away, on Friday April 6th. There are some big changes in store for the Art Walk in 2012 -- we'll have more details in a few days.
Finally, everyone's favorite guessing game returns. Which Lower Haight pizza shop is for sale? There could only be a couple of options...
That's all we've got this week! Anything we missed? Let us know. tips [at] haighteration {{dot}} com.
