Dispatches from 4/20 Ground Zero
Well, we survived 420. We even took some pictures of the mayhem for you, in case you weren't among the sunburned masses of Bob Marley enthusiasts.

Here's the scene at Hippie Hill:

As usual, traffic was nightmarish, with some folks telling us parking took them more than 30 minutes.
Which begs the question, should 420 celebrators be driving? After surveying the broken beer bottles littering the panhandle, the heat, enormous crowds, and general disarray of the 'hood, perhaps the fewer people attempting to parallel park the better. The police were out en masse bemusedly surveying the shenanigans on the street, but they didn't seem worried by it. Twitter user @brentsleeper raises a good point: why doesn't Muni offer free fares on 4/20, like they do on New Year's Eve and Saint Patrick's Day?
Hippie Hill was trending on twitter all day, and you can read the best tweets on SFist (spoiler alert: lots of lost stoners). Alternately, you can peep the tag yourself and get a contact high from looking at everyone's Instagram photos.
Generally, things seemed relatively tame this year. Were you out there having fun in the sun? Or did you feel like a prisoner in your own home?
