Villains Says Goodbye to Haight
You've heard it, you've seen it, you've sensed it: we're here to tell you the rumors are true.

The latest news in the recent flurry of retail activity on Haight is that Villains is closing. The store, which has survived a fire in the recent past and has been on Haight for 26 years, has put its entire inventory on sale and is selling until it's gone. In passing, an employee said he thought they had maybe two or three weeks left before closing for good and giving up the space they lease in the building at 1672 Haight, which has recently changed ownership. (We haven't been able to weasel out who bought it, just yet.) Villains made a name for itself selling designer streetwear; they were among the first outlets to carry Diesel and G-Star, their store manager, Josh, told us a few months back. The store still has locations in Thailand. Farewell, Villains!
