On Sunday, October 21st, Peter Marcus will be leading a photography workshop that meets at Haight & Ashbury.

It costs $98, and it gets you a day of learning photography techniques from a professional photographer of over 30 years. He'll teach you how to use everything, compose a great shot, and "learn to take photographs with a poet's eye". The meetup starts at 2, and goes through the early evening, so you'll learn day and night techniques. Bring your gear and, we imagine, some comfortable shoes, and explore the Haight with a camera. Open to all skill levels. Peter Marcus used to shoot for east coast museums and art galleries. He moved to the bay area about 30 years ago and started shooting portraits and events. You can check out some of his work on the photography workshop's page. As we write this, there are only ten spots left, so if you're thinking about it, you should probably get in there. Happy shooting!
