Oak and Fell Bikeways Begin to Take Shape
Earlier this week, the first lanes of the newly-approved Oak and Fell bikeways were painted between Divisadero and Baker.

Bicyclists now have a dedicated lane from Scott to Baker traveling westward on Fell. Eventually this lane will be separated from auto traffic by physical barricades, but for now, painted striping will have to do. As you can see in the photo, parking spots along the south side of the street have been removed. A similar treatment is slated for Oak Street, along with some sidewalk corner bulbouts, landscaping improvements, and traffic signal adjustments. All of this is scheduled to be completed by the Spring. Have you biked down this new stretch of two-wheeled nirvana? If so, let us know how it went.
