Dogs of the Upper Haight: Part 3 in a Series
Coco, Uppercasing. Uppercasing, Coco.

Coco might be part rat terrier and part gremlin:
She's about 4, but her people aren't sure, since they rescued her from the SPCA down in SoMa. She's lived in the Haight ever since, right at ground zero (above Ben & Jerry's).
Her likes include stuffed animals (her favorite is a purple unicorn), blankets, pigeons, greek yogurt, and visiting stores on Haight for treats. Her dislikes: firecrackers and front gates on buildings (she'll bark and snarl like a guard dog if you open a gate in front of her). In 2011, she won "Most Earresistible" at SF Dog Fest, and in 2012, she won 7x7's Doggleganger Contest, which earned her a doggy spa day. While we're at it, one of her people, Travis Valentine, asked us to let you know about a project he's working on called Happy Hour with Cameron Stiehl. Here's what it's about:
Taking the “It Gets Better” concept one step further, I want to show how much better it can get. So, I’m inviting the world to happy hour to meet my friends. Not just any friends…these are amazing, strong, and passionate gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals who are living fulfilling lives, serving their communities and contributing to the world. And they have stories. Sometimes juicy, sometimes sad, often hilarious—and always inspiring. These tales are full of hope. And I’m going to get these guests a little tipsy and make them spill them all. I believe that once you get to know us, the fear and fences will disappear. Happy Hour with Cameron Stiehl is a web series created by a dedicated team of filmmakers that captures the stories of prominent members of the LGBT community. We want to share those stories across communities to build connections between people – one cocktail at a time.
You can check it out on facebook. They just finished raising money for their project, and they've already filmed a few episodes over at Trax. Happy Saturday!
