As you might remember, those ATMs have been plagued with vandalism and graffiti this past year. The ATMs were boarded up a few months ago, and just last week they reopened as Chase ATMs. We checked with Wells Fargo, and they didn't know anything about it. They said they had given up the ATMs because of the vandalism, but that's all they knew. We interact with cranky tourists who want to know why the 'hood only has a Wells Fargo pretty much every day, since the nearest Chase bank is at Fulton and Central, and the nearest BoA is at Broderick and Fell. At least this will give folks one more option. Unless they get trashed again.
