What's the Latest On Divisadero?

People keep asking us for updates on a number of Divisadero-related happenings. So, here we go.

The Mill (736 Divisadero)
Baker Josey Baker tells us that the space he's collaborating on with Four Barrel Coffee is still aiming to open by the end of the year. In the meantime, Josey's looking for part-time bakers and Four Barrel's hiring baristas for the location.

Bi-Rite (550 Divisadero)
Work has been progressing on the space in recent months, and a rep for the market and creamery tell us they're expecting to open in March.

Barrel Head Brewhouse (838 Divisadero)
About a year ago, word surfaced that a brewhouse would be coming to the former auto body shop at 838 Divisadero. Well, not anymore. Tablehopper noted this week that Barrel Head will instead be setting up shop at 1785 Fulton, at Masonic. Owner Ivan Hopkinson tells us he encountered some unexpected "issues" with the original location, but is really excited about the new space. If all goes well, Barrel Head will open in the fall of 2013.

Wine Kitchen (507 Divisadero)
As we reported last week, this Divisadero wine bar is wrapping up construction and aiming to open to the public in the beginning of January.

Saffron Grill (1279 Fulton)
Finally, a number of readers contacted us about Saffron Grill at Fulton and Divisadero, which suffered a major fire Friday night. Co-owner Ajeet Mehta tells us the SFFD believes the fire was caused by faulty electrical wiring. Mehta says that the restaurant's kitchen was spared in the fire, and with any luck Saffron Grill will be back in business in about two months.
