An Indulgent Valentine's Day in the Lower Haight

A macaron pop-up, a champagne fest for the ladies, and chocolate beer — it's going to be an indulgent Valentine's Day in the neighborhood.

First, from 3pm to 8pm, Rare Device (600 Divisadero) hosts a pop-up shop featuring Le Dix-Sept P√Ętisserie. They'll be selling special boxes of 6 or 12 macarons "filled with three delicious flavors appropriate for love." They'll also have TCHO dark chocolate salted caramel pecan tarts for sale. Stop by and pick up something sweet for your sweetie, and/or yourself.

From 5:30pm to 11:30pm, Maven's offering a Valentine's Day package for the single folks out there, especially (but not limited to) the ladies. Bartender Kate Bolton will be creating three special cocktails for the night, plus she and manager Selena will teach you how to saber a bottle of champagne. For $75, your group gets reserved seating, a bottle of bubbles, and a sabering lesson. Email info [at] maven-sf {{dot}} com for reservations.

Finally, if you like chocolate and beer, it's time you combined the two — and Noc Noc has you covered. Tonight they'll have an event for Chocolate beer lovers, with flights of chocolate beers from around the world and complimentary Belgian chocolate. Featured beers include varieties from New Belgium, Ommegang, and Almanac.

So, three decadent ways to spend your V-Day.

And remember, even if you're painfully single and just want to put this day behind you, somebody out there loves you. And that somebody's name is Haighteration.

Feel free to buy us some macarons.
