Today is the 162 annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival here in San Francisco, and this year it's all about the ladies.

From 11am to 5pm, Civic Center will be the site of a family-friendly festival celebrating the city's Irish history and culture. There will be Irish food and beverages, dancing, cultural and business exhibitions, and live music from several Irish bands. Meanwhile, the parade kicks off at 11:30am at 2nd and Market, and makes its way down Market Street towards Civic Center. This year's theme is "Honoring the Celtic Woman," and the parade's Grand Marshal is SFFD Chief Joanne Hayes-White. Whether you're Irish or not, this is a great excuse to don your greenest apparel and take part in a fantastic San Francisco tradition. So head on over to Civic Center Plaza today and join in the fun.
