New Evidence Released in Acosta Homicide Case
A new video has surfaced which sheds some light on the death of Ernesto Acosta, who was gunned down on February 10th near Hayes and Webster.

Yesterday, KTVU obtained a video from police that appears to show Acosta in the moments just after he was shot. The video was taken from the dashboard camera of a taxicab, according to KTVU. In a separate portion of the video, a white 2010 to 2012 Lexus ES 350 can be seen driving from the scene. KTVU claims that investigators believe the gunfire came from this vehicle. Acosta, a 23-year-old employee of the Upper Haight Whole Foods, was walking to a friend's house near Hayes and Webster when he was shot around 2am that Sunday night. He was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police are hoping the video will inspire someone to step forward with information that will help identify suspects in the case. Specifically, they believe patrons of Yoshi's that night might have witnessed something relevant. If you have any information, call the SFPD Homicide Unit's anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444.
