The tip line was a-buzzin' yesterday, as numerous readers couldn't help but notice the film crew hullabaloo on Haight Street.

Reader Nick S., a resident of the 700 block, sent in the above photo of the scene outside 770 Haight yesterday morning. As we noted on Sunday, an HBO pilot is being filmed around the city this week, with multiple locations in the Lower Haight. The show will feature actor Jonathan Groff from Glee, who Nick S. spotted amongst the chaos. "I would not have recognized him myself (though have seen him in Glee) from this distance, but he arrived in a minivan with some others and instead of milling around like the other twenty people involved, immediately went into the house," Nick wrote.

Other folks on Twitter documented the action as well. It looks like the crew will be returning to the neighborhood Friday night. Twitterer @clowntraps received a notice mentioning that there will be no parking on Haight between Fillmore and Steiner, and on the corner of Haight and Waller, tomorrow between 8pm and 1am to accomodate the film trucks. What do you think of the numerous projects being shot in the neighborhood recently? Exciting and a boon to local businesses? Bad for traffic and a hassle for residents? All of the above? Let us know in the comments.
