It was a hot one yesterday, it'll be a hot one today, and it'll probably be a hot one tomorrow. Perfect weather for some ice cream and cold beer.
Root beer, that is.
Tomorrow evening at the corner of Duboce and Noe, bring the family (or just yourself) to the 2nd annual Root Beer Taste Test Fest del Guapo, hosted by the First Christian Church. There you'll find over 100 varieties of root, birch, and spruce beers, plus a few sarsaparillas to sample.
Tickets range from $5 for a flight of 5 different root beers, to $20 for a flight of 30. There'll also be an ice cream station serving up root beer floats.
Proceeds from the event benefit Converge Pacwest, a group of churches that includes the First Christian Church, and "will fund neighborhood community outreach programs in SF."
The event will run from 6pm to 8:30pm. For more info, and to RSVP so they can plan accordingly, visit the event's webpage.
