Word/Play at the Booksmith

Tomorrow at 7 PM, you have a chance to eat pizza, get beer-drunk and watch a crew of local authors battle to the death.

That's right, your very own Booksmith (and our very own place-of-other-employ) is hosting Word/Play. What is Word/Play, you ask?

Word/Play is the finest literary faceoff drinking game game show of its kind, and perhaps the only. $15 gets you pizza for dinner and as much beer as you can handle. Don't worry, you don't need to be polite about it.

In return, you get to watch two teams of three writers drink themselves silly and shout ridiculous things at each other for arbitrarily awarded points. Cheer them on!

The writers of choice this time are: Isaac Fitzgerald, Phil Cousineau and Pireeni Sundaralingham facing off Colin Winnette, Esther Inglis-Arkell and Jenni Holm.

It's the most fun we've ever had at the Booksmith, and trust us, we've had a lot of fun at the Booksmith. Get tickets at the store now!
