Last night's Lower Haight Art Walk was unique in at least two ways -- it was held on a Saturday (vs. the usual Friday), and it started earlier (4pm vs the usual 6pm).
The changes were meant to give daytime businesses a chance to participate when they otherwise might not, and to avoid competing with other nighttime events in the city. Maybe it was the sunny weather or the Giants doubleheader, but the event got off to a mellow start in the late afternoon. Still, the crowds showed up, and by sundown it seemed like another successful event. But we want to know what you thought, readers. Specifically, was the earlier start a good idea? How about Saturday vs. Friday? Anything you think they need more (or less) of for next time? Let us know in the comments.
