A couple of city agencies are teaming up to make the Wiggle greener, calmer, and less prone to flooding -- and they want your input.

The project, dubbed The Wiggle Neighborhood Green Corridor, will be a joint effort by the SFMTA and SFPUC (Municipal Transportation Agency and Public Utilities Commission, respectively). It might involve installing such technologies as permeable paving, which absorbs rainwater before it enters the city's sewer system. It also promises to improve walking and biking conditions in the area. However, details are still taking shape, and will depend in large part on public feedback. So, to kick off the project, there will be an open house tomorrow (Tuesday) night, from 5pm to 8:30pm, at the Electrical Workers Union Hall (55 Fillmore). As an SFPUC rep told us via email:

"We're inviting neighbors, residents, and businesses to help us understand their community priorities and provide input on stormwater management and traffic calming opportunities. This also includes giving us their thoughts on the project's look and feel."

You can drop by tomorrow night's open house at any time between 5pm to 8:30pm and stay for as long as you want.
