If you enjoy people talking, listening, singing and laughing, then tonight's your night in the Lower Haight. Here are three fine reasons to get yourself out of the house on a Tuesday.

Of course, you'll be starting your night by dropping by the Wiggle Green Corridor Open House, which we told you about yesterday. That runs from 5:30pm to 8pm at the Electrical Workers Union Hall (55 Fillmore).
Then, at new event space The Center (548 Fillmore), it's an open mic night called Ignite the Mic. Come enjoy the sounds of local bluegrass group Elif and the Divas, or take to the mic yourself and wow the crowd with your undiscovered talents. Doors open at 7:30pm, and there are two sessions -- 8pm to 9pm, and 10pm to 11pm. It's free if you're performing, and $5 if you're watching.
Finally, head to Danny Coyle's for another night of the standup comedy extravaganza known as Haightian Democracy. The show will feature local comedians including Marc Abrigo, Lyall Behrens and more. It starts at 9:30pm, and it's free.
Not bad for a Tuesday night. Know of anything else going on? Take to the comments, friend.
