Cole Hardware Revamp
Now that it's September, it seems like construction projects (and road projects, and roof-tarring, and painting) are underway everywhere, our own little hamlet included.

Cole Hardware ripped out their front windows last week, and were busy replacing them. A hardware store is no stranger to dust and splinters, so the staff were coping well, and the store was open during the construction. One young staff member was downright enthusiastic about the change. "Those windows haven't been replaced for 15 or 20 years, so it was about time," he said. "The new windows will slide open and closed, so that my coworker who does the store displays will be able to get in and out easily." What remains to be seen is whether this means that they'll be letting more sunlight into the store, or blocking most of the windows behind shelves. We should know in a few days. Cole Hardware is the flagship location for our fair city's hardware chain since 1920.
