The SFMTA and SFPUC are teaming up to make the Wiggle greener and more absorbent. Goals are twofold: to prevent the local sewer system from getting overwhelmed during storms, and to improve conditions for pedestrians and cyclists along the route. To achieve those ends, the project might:

- Manage stormwater using permeable paving and rain gardens
- Enhance pedestrian safety with bulbouts and raised crosswalks
- Add stormwater collection areas to Duboce Park
- Improve transit on Haight Street
