A strange accident has left a car flipped over on Scott Street near Duboce this afternoon.

Reader Lenore C. sent in these photos from the scene, showing a car flipped over in the middle of the street and what appears to be a person being transported on a stretcher. An SFPD spokesman tells us that a witness reported the accident at 3:35pm, telling 9-1-1 that they saw a person crawling out of the flipped vehicle. When officers arrived, no one was in the vehicle, but one person at the scene had to be transported to the hospital. It's unclear whether that person was the driver of the car. The spokesman also was unsure what caused the accident, and whether any other cars were involved. It's still being investigated at this hour. We'll update with any additional details.
