Three people were taken to the hospital tonight after being injured in a shooting on the 400 block of Rose Street, near Webster.

According to an SPFD spokesperson, the shooting was reported around 7:30pm. Police arrived at the scene and found three victims with gunshot wounds. All were transported to San Francisco General Hospital, one with life-threatening injuries. On Twitter, several users reported hearing the gunfire just before 7:30pm. Officers remained at the scene to interview witnesses and to get suspect descriptions. No other details are currently available, but we'll update with more information as we get it. Update 11:50pm: The one victim who had suffered life-threatening injuries has died at the hospital, according to police. Update 1am: KTVU reports that the victims were all male -- two in their early twenties and one in his mid-teens. KTVU also cites police as saying it "was either a drive-by or a walk-up shooting." Update 10/21: The deceased victim has been identified as 23-year-old Marcus Spruell, according to SF Appeal. The site adds that police are seeking two suspects who were seen fleeing east on Rose Street. Police have not released any other details about the suspects.
