After a chilly night, ice covered the ground in Golden Gate Park into the late morning, presenting a wintry hazard to pedestrians.
Orange safety cones marked an unexpected site this morning in the northeastern corner of the park, in between The Conservatory of Flowers and 8th Ave.
With temperatures in some shady parts of the park taking their time climbing out of the mid-thirties, long shadows created a rare environment for the kind of sidewalk conditions not often seen in San Francisco.
Be careful out there.
