A motorcycle driver is dead tonight after colliding with a vehicle at the intersection of Oak and Steiner.

Police report that the crash took place around 8:30pm. The motorcyclist was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he died from his injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperating with police. No other details about the drivers or the cause of the accident have been released at this time. As of 10:15pm, streets remain closed in the area. We'll update if we get more information. Update 12/3/2013, 8:20am: The victim is described as a 38-year-old male, the driver a 30-year-old male. The victim suffered "head trauma," according to police. No other information has been made available at this time. Update 10:10am: The victim has been identified as San Francisco resident Billy Beckwith. Beckwith was a contractor specializing in cabinetry, who appeared as co-host of the HGTV show "Curb Appeal."
