Mercy Housing & The ARC San Francisco will renovate a vacant property at 1500 Page to create affordable housing for low-income developmentally disabled people.
Mercy Housing, a non-profit dedicated to building affordable housing for poor families, and The ARC, a non-profit service and advocacy organization for adults with Autism, have been collecting feedback at community meetings for a year and a half, and they're now requesting approval from the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission will review their proposal at their general meeting on the 19th of December, and then begin sending notices to neighboring buildings. The proposed plan would create 16 studios and one 1-BR manager's unit in the long-vacant 3-story space.
