Have You Noticed More Homeless People In Hayes Valley?Flickr/FHKE
An article in the Chronicle this weekend claims that the current "mid-Market renaissance" is causing that area's homeless population to relocate to Civic Center and Hayes Valley.

The article quotes a number of local merchants and residents, and the consensus seems to be that the neighborhood has seen an influx of homeless people in recent months. The migration is attributed to the current tech boom in mid-Market. "I get my marching orders from the mayor that Mid-Market is a priority," SF's police chief Greg Suhr says candidly. City resources, including DPW cleaning teams and the SFPD, have apparently been directed to focus on transforming that area. And as a result, the mid-Market homeless population is being displaced to nearby neighborhoods, including ours. So we want to know: have you noticed more homeless people in Hayes Valley and around City Hall recently? If so, what do you think should be done about the situation, if anything?
