We have an update on the future of 425A Hayes!
As we reported on Friday, the Chez Maman team is building out a new restaurant in the space. Today, Inside Scoop reveals some new details. Namely, that the restaurant will be called "Papito West." So, Hayes will now have Chez Maman West and Papito West, to match the original Chez Maman and Papito locations in Potrero Hill. The Scoop adds that Papito West will be less of a taqueria and "more like a restaurant, with a more refined, sophisticated menu" than the original Papito. It will also feature a new ceviche-centric raw bar, which probably explains that job posting we mentioned on Friday. No word on a potential opening date, though they have to build out a full kitchen, so we're guessing it could take a while. We'll keep an eye on it.
