Hayes Valley On TV
Hayes Valley is getting some well-deserved attention on the small screen this week.

First, there's a new commercial for PayPal that was largely filmed in the neighborhood. In the ad, a woman makes purchases at Arlequin and Nancy Boy using just her fingerprint (apparently this product doesn't actually exist yet): Reminds us of that Amex commercial filmed here a couple of months ago. Meanwhile, on Sunday, Noir's chef Adam Hinojosa will be a contestant on the Food Network show "Cutthroat Kitchen." The episode, which airs at 7pm on Sunday, is described like so:
"Breakfast becomes the most important meal of the day when three chefs must find new uses for common breakfast appliances. Then, a chef must decide to go sweet or savory with their calzone when their entire stash of cheese is swapped out for tiramisu. In the final challenge, a chef is forced to downsize when they have to cook their fajitas on a mini skillet."
The episode was filmed in December, according to a photo Hinojosa posted on Instagram: No word on how Hinojosa fared; you'll just have to tune in Sunday to find out.
