It looks like Reveille Coffee on 18th Street (4076 18th St) is just about ready to open (I can hear the fingers of readers typing jokes about another coffee shop opening in the Castro as I write this). A rope has cordoned off access to the patio and main entrance, but paper is off the windows and staff can be seen inside training. From what I could see the back wall features an installation of thick tree cross sections and an open spacious interior. The coffee bar is located to the right of the space with the kitchen directly beyond it. A passerby noticed how sunny it was on the Reveille patio in the morning and wished that Philz across the street were too. Perhaps a Sunday or Monday opening coming?
