Two Jacks Introduces Throwback Thursdays
Life is expensive. Life in the San Francisco of 2014 is particularly expensive. So you'll no doubt be delighted, as we were, to learn that one local restaurant is bucking the trend by rolling back prices to historically low levels.

Starting today, Two Jacks (401 Haight) is going to be offering its 1977 menu at 1977 prices on Thursdays from 4pm to 7pm. We're talking burgers for $2.25, beers for $2, and catfish or oysters for $4. The food will even be served in old-school baskets. The idea was inspired by an original menu hanging on a wall inside the restaurant. "So many people wanted to order from that menu with those prices, it gave me the idea" for Throwback Thursdays, owner Nikki Cooper tells us. "[It's] about us saying thank you to our customers." The savings don't end there, though. If you can't make it to Throwback Thursdays, you'll get a second chance on Secret Saturdays. Visit the restaurant's Facebook page or website, get the secret password for the day, mention it at the counter, and unlock the 1977 prices from 4pm to 8pm on Saturdays.
