Get those frozen yogurt and rice pudding appetites ready because some dairy goodness is coming to the 'hood.

Loving Cup, a popular dessert haven in Russian Hill, has decided to expand to a second location... and they've chosen Hayes Valley as their new home. We learned from Eater they will be moving into the space previously occupied by Taste Tea (Octavia and Ivy) and they're targeting mid-April for their opening date. First opened in 2008, Loving Cup is self-described as "a dessert shoppe where people can find comforting, delicious and healthy treats just like grandma used to make." The rice pudding comes from a home recipe, their fro-yo has zero chemicals or preservatives, and their frozen yogurt pies come in 7 varieties. The rice pudding flavors include standards like vanilla, chocolate chip, and mocha, along with some creative options like Nutella, Creamsicle, Green Tea, and Cinnamon Rum Raisin. And if their (fat free) fro-yo is more your thing, they'll have a few flavors each day and over 25 toppings for you to add and blend (25 toppings? Fro-yo you didn't). For those of you in the lactose intolerance community, yearning for the taste of anything that closely resembles milk or ice cream, they hear your cries and will feature non-dairy and vegan options. According to Eater, owner Liz Fiedler plans to make the ice cream at the Hayes Valley location and it will "be available by the scoop in handmade cones, to-go in hand-packed pints, or as an ice-cream sandwich with freshly baked cookies." See you in line.
