It's been a wet(ish) and wild weekend, and we've got some tasty tidbits from around the neighborhood to tide you over, including mysterious changes at a notorious commercial property, a new brunch in town and a grocery anniversary that involves ice cream sundaes.
Barrel Head Brewhouse has been brimming with drinkers since its opening just a couple weeks ago, and they've quietly rolled out their promised brunch this weekend, with dishes like a Green Benedict (poached eggs and asparagus) and french toast with apple available starting at 10am Saturdays and Sundays.
Over at 616 Divisadero, there's some movement with the Harding Theater, which as of last week was still on the market, undergoing a price slash from its highest asking price of $4.2 million to $3.6 million (its original 2012 asking price). But just as quickly as it was posted, the listing was withdrawn or cancelled, adding more mystery to what's already been a wild ride for the historic property.
The plot thickened after a January update from Neighbors Developing Divisadero (the community group formed to try and raise money to purchase the theater), which hinted that an offer had been made on the space:
And finally, if you've got grocery shopping on the mind, head over to Bi-Rite, where they're celebrating their one-year anniversary on Divisadero with kickin' deals in every department of the store. From Monday, March 31 through Sunday, April 6, pick up Bi-Rite canvas bags for $1 each, a special Tarentaise Reserve anniversary cheese, or a $5 birthday ice cream sundae with whipped cream and sprinkles.
You'll have to head over to the produce aisle to get a cherry on top.
