The Pop-Up Restaurants Of Divisadero
We’re not sure exactly when it happened, but it seems like you can’t go too far in San Francisco without a restaurant “popping up” out of nowhere. That said, we thought we’d shed some light on the many pop-up restaurants offered up and down the Divisadero Corridor.

1. Vinyl Cafe Tuesdays and Wednesdays: Vinyl hosts the folks from Sneaky’s BBQ t. Chef Ben Thorne does a great job of pumping out classics like pulled pork and brisket sandwiches, along with a tasty vegan option. Thursdays and Fridays: Make way for pizza night(s), provided by Pizza Hacker. Jeff’s thin crust pies are a good compliment to the barbecue offered earlier in the week. They have a special that changes each night, so you can always try something new.
2. Mojo Bicycle Café Wednesdays: Killer burgers provided by Wes Rowe. They change all the time, and they rule. If you’ve never had one of Wes's tasty delights, you are doing yourself a disservice. Thursdays: Rice Paper Scissors. A smattering of Vietnamese options are provided, most notably the Banh Mi. Run by Valerie Luu and Katie Kwan, it’s awesome food served by great people.
3. La Urbana On Wednesdays through Saturdays La Urbana opens up that back garage area from 4pm to 11pm. They serve tacos, sangria, beer and more items from a limited menu. It’s a nice departure from the pricier dining room. They serve free popcorn, and dominos abound. Happy hour goes from 4pm to 6pm.
4. The Page The Page has limited free food available on Wednesdays and Fridays. It alternates between pizza from Bus Stop and subs from King Foot. They have it set up at the end of the bar. Anything we missed? Let us know in the comments.
