The Yoga Loft Doesn't Plan To Return
Bad news for fans of the fire-damaged Yoga Loft on Divisadero.

The yoga studio on Divis between Page and Oak, which shuttered in the wake of a fire just before Christmas, has announced to customers that it couldn't work out a solution to stay in the space, and is working with the landlord to find a new tenant to take its place. Managing Partner Joe Schultz says that the Yoga Loft will neither relocate nor return in its current form, citing "incredible financial strain" due to the fire. "A new party may restart the space and may or may not use the name, vision, brand, etc." Schultz tells us, though he notes that everything is speculative at this point. In the interim, Yoga Loft patrons are being offered classes and memberships at different studios around San Francisco. "I worked hard to find a solution that I hope is amicable to all," Schultz wrote to customers. "I deeply regret and apologize that we all must go through this, but it is through how we handle life's difficulties as well as its fortunes that reveals our yogic nature." As for the other business forced to close by the fire, The Other Shop, we're still awaiting word on its fate, and will update when we have any news to share.
