We have a quick update on Volare Pizza, which is down but not out at 456 Haight Street.
A month ago, we wondered what was up with the restaurant, which had shuttered earlier in February without explanation.
Stripped of all signage and with no indication of plans to reopen, Volare certainly looks like it's closed for good. But no!
An employee tells us that it's in fact just undergoing a serious remodel, and should be reopening next week. Whether there will be any changes to the menu as well remains to be seen.
So to all (both?) of you Volare fans out there, take heart—order will soon be restored to the local pizzaverse.
