It's almost April. You know what that means.
The farmer's market at Stanyan and Waller will be back next week on the 2nd of April for their fourth season in the Haight. They'll be there every Wednesday from 3pm–7pm, all the way through October.
Ted Loewenberg of the Haight Ashbury Improvement Association reminded us that the Farmers Market is still trying to expand to become a year-round operation, so be sure to contact Ashley Weidman, at ashleyweidman[at]pcfma[dot]com to let her know what you think.
Even better, head over next Wednesday to vote with your dollars while enjoying fresh produce, prepared foods, live music and more. There are over 25 venders on the docket for the market this year, and while we're waiting for an updated list (we'll let you know next week!) it's looking promising.
While you're waiting for next Wednesday, the Farmers Market suggests you should submit your favorite healthy and simple recipe featuring a spring ingredient to win a reusable Fresh Approach water bottle. Send your recipe to programs[at]freshapproach[dot]com. You have until March 31st to contribute your seasonal recipe, so get started in the test kitchen now.
