Diamond Supply Co. Prepares To OpenPhoto: Camden Avery/Hoodline
After a long, long, long renovation, the former Pure Beauty storefront at 1560 Haight is getting ready to emerge from its chrysalis.

The result? Diamond Supply Co. That's right: what currently looks like a makeshift sidewalk living room will soon be a live business.

Founded by Nick Tershay in San Francisco in 1998 but grown out of Los Angeles, Diamond Supply Co. is a mid- to high-end streetwear designer (think RVCA, Pink Dolphin or Black Scale) derived from skateboarding lifestyle gear. The sartorial offerings include hoodies, t-shirts, shoes, hats, one varsity jacket (!), and accessories.

The San Francisco store is the city's first Diamond location (they've also recently added New York City).

Diamond's Haight Street location is too new even to be listed on the company's retailer directory (their products are currently carried by FTC at 1632 Haight, though). However, landlord Suheil Alaraj confirmed that as of two weeks ago, the final construction that had to be wrapped up was the installation of some lighting and cabinetry. In passing by, we have to say it looks pretty ready for business.
