It may not feel like summer, but every now and again there's a reminder that it is, in fact, June. This Thursday, bundle up in your finest wool scarves and hats and venture out of your drafty apartments to Divisadero, where the latest and greatest art walk will be happening.
Here's the who, where, and what:
- Onyx at 298 Divisadero will be featuring a pop-up by Elizabeth Street Cosmetics (a local lipstick company), a trunk show by Taxi CDC (vintage men and women's clothes), and artwork by Daria Gabriel.
- San Franpsycho at 505 Divisadero is celebrating "grabbing opportunities, taking chances, satisfying your curiosity, and pursuing dreams" through the group photography exhibition GREAT ADVENTURE. Featured artists will include Rob Williamson, Sean Carabarin, L Jocelyn Herrada-Rios, Brock Brake, Shereen Jihad, and Dylan Ozanich.
- Rare Device at 600 Divisadero is showcasing CCA-graduate Yina Kim's artwork.
- San Francisco Skate Club at 635 Divisadero will have work by Greg Gardner, as well as a special release of his SF Skate Club coloring / sing along book. If you're a serious colorer, there will be a coloring contest to win a signed SF Skate Club skateboard deck.
- Mojo Bicycle Cafe at 639 Divisadero is hosting work by local artist Alyssa Townsend.
- Big Umbrella Studios at 906 ½ Divisadero St is exhibiting a solo show of work by Daria Gabriel with music by Argon Volt and BLU J.
- The Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California at 1234 Divisadero St (coolest address in the 'hood) is hosting an art show called “Let Art Speak.”
These are just some of the events happening on Thursday night. We'll see you on the street!
