Yes it's only Thursday, but we've already accumulated so many local news nuggets this week, we've decided to pass them along a little earlier than usual.

Let's dig in.

Now that Greenburger's has closed, the space at 518 Haight Street has gotten a little makeover in preparation for its temporary tenant Cool Beans.  That includes some wall art by muralist Ian Ross (who you already know from his multiple works at 435 Duboce).

Speaking of Cool Beans, the pop-up launched a little earlier than planned.  While the original start date was this coming Saturday during the Lower Haight Art Walk, they actually started hosting a series of $15-per-person dinners at the location on Tuesday.  For tickets and info, click here.

And speaking of the Lower Haight Art Walk, that's coming this Saturday afternoon, from 2pm to 7pm.  You can—and should—RSVP here.

From the mailbag, a reader asks us for some help figuring out what happened to his motorcycle on Tuesday morning:

"This morning I found it awkwardly parked in front of the driveway of 678 haight... Apparently and upon further inspection, it had been knocked over (or hit?) at some point between 11 pm and 7 am this morning and either the person knocking it over or some kind soul had picked it up and placed it in front of the driveway... It's a KTM Superduke that is Orange and Black. I am just trying to solicit some help in finding out what happened. As it stands, it sustained damage that will have to be paid for in addition to the parking ticket it received for being 'parked' in front of a driveway."

If you know what happened, drop us a line and we'll pass it along.

Meanwhile, who is this guy selling fresh baked bread out of a simple pushcart on Pierce Street?  Inquiring minds want to know.

Nickie's celebrated 7 years of existence in its current incarnation yesterday. (Long-time residents may recall its previous life as Nickies BBQ.)

Curbed reports that one of the painted ladies on Alamo Square was sold yesterday.  It's the northernmost one, a 5-bedroom, 4.5 bathroom Queen Anne Victorian, and it sold for $3.1 million ($900K below its original asking price).

Finally, Black Sands has posted a very cool history of its building at 701 Haight over the centuries, from a sand valley to a pasture to a single-unit dwelling to its current mixed-use 3-story form.  Great stuff.

Anything we missed? As usual, let us know in the comments.
