If you're looking to get a taste of SF Pride this weekend, then you'll want to check out the new lineup of LGBTQ-inspired creations at 254 Fillmore Street.

As they did back in 2011, the creative folks at Three Twins Ice Cream are coming out (get it?) with a special menu of flavors, to be scooped at their Lower Haight shop this weekend only.

The names run from the sweet to the scandalous, including:

  • "Hot Cookie" – Vanilla ice cream with cookie chunks from the eponymous Castro cookie shop (famed for their suggestive coconut macaroons)
  • "Bear Bait" – Honey ice cream with chocolate peanut bark
  • "Two Tops Don’t Make a Bottom" – Vanilla ice cream with muffin top chunks
  • "Michael Sam, Gay I Am" – Banana chip with nuts
  • "Oh My, George Takei" – Green tea ice cream
In all, 10 prideful flavors will make the shop's special menu.  Plus, pre-packaged pints of the company's usual varieties will be available for just $3.

10% of proceeds from sales this weekend will go to a fund created by the San Francisco Africa Leadership Institute, which supports the LGBT community in Uganda.  So while the names may be silly, the cause is seriously worthwhile.

The Three Twins Pride celebration is scheduled to go down this Friday through Sunday, while supplies last.
