Shots were fired in the area near Rose Street and Buchanan tonight, though fortunately no one was injured.
Several readers tipped us off to the shooting around 8pm:

— Kendall Brobst (@klbrobst) July 17, 2014SFPD public information officer Gordon Shyy told us that police responded to the area around 8pm after residents reported "hearing gun fire and possibly seeing a person armed with a firearm." When officers arrived, they found evidence of gunfire, but no shooting victims. According to SFPD, it's still an active investigation.
